Privacy Policy

Reading inputs. The name, birth date, and preference you enter are used to derive your reading. What our servers store is a derived, non-reversible identifier of those inputs (a cryptographic hash) together with the resulting reading, so the oracle can answer questions about it. Your soulmate reading itself is computed on your device.

An anonymous device identifier. A random identifier created on first launch. It is not your name, not your email, and not tied to your Apple ID by us.

Purchase status. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which tells us whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the app is used (screens opened, features used). Analytics events are tied to the anonymous identifier above.

Oracle questions. Questions you ask the oracle are processed to generate an answer. We do not store the text of your questions in readable form in our logs; we record only technical metadata such as message length and timing.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or advertising identifiers. Katina contains no advertising SDK and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Information is used to deliver your readings, operate the daily reading and oracle features, honour your subscription, and improve the app. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers named above (Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog) and the AI provider that generates oracle responses, which receives the content needed to produce an answer.

You can delete your data at any time from inside the app (Settings, then Delete my data). Deletion removes your stored reading, oracle history, and the anonymous identifier from our servers.

Katina is intended for users aged 13 and over. The app asks for a birth date and does not accept dates that would indicate a younger user. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because Katina holds so little about you, the fastest path is the in-app deletion described above; for anything else, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
